CBD for NFL Players, and No Excuses

Injury of the brain is not always immediately apparent. Conditions like CTE can develop over the course of several concussions, and even repeated low-impact blows to the head. The effects of CTE can be devastating, and include symptoms like difficulty thinking, impulsive behavior, depression, suicidal thoughts, and emotional instability. The NFL has agreed, in no uncertain terms, that CTE is a common development in NFL players.

The collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the NFL Players Association has an explicitly stated policy regarding players and "marijuana use", which is strict enough to restrict even the use of CBD, an entirely non-psychoactive compound. According to one study, retired NFL players use opioids at four times the rate of the general population, which has demonstrated negative qualities.

If the NFL truly cares about its players, CBD needs to be available as part of an effective pain management strategy. With centuries of documented use, the cannabis plant has never caused an overdose, but it has provided real relief for people undergoing a number of difficult circumstances. In clinical studies, CBD has been shown to be a highly effective anti-inflammatory supplement, as well as a valuable neuroprotectant.

Neuro Armour is an innovative line of CBD products, and a leading player in the ongoing struggle to heal our hardest-hitting athletes. Neuro Armour products contain all of the healing properties of the cannabis family of plants, with none of the "high" typically associated with marijuana. Instead, relief comes in the form of a few drops of clear liquid with unique anti-inflammatory properties and several known cognitive, emotional, and physical benefits.
